Sonicwall netextender hung at verifying user12/31/2022 ![]() Not sure how I feel about that answer, but thought I'd get the word out. ![]() I contacted sonicwall and after about a week, they contacted me back, and basically said this is known behavior on Windows 10 with the latest version of netextender, to uninstall netextender and use sonicwall mobile connect from the windows store instead. ![]() This concerned me because of the hassle of a user with a typo in their password, but also because in theory one could use that to guess or possibly otherwise get valid usernames. This behavior is different than providing a bad username, or providing a valid/invalid username/password combo that isn't mapped. If the users internet connection isnt the issue, the next step is to ensure the VPN vendor isnt the root of the problem. Turns out, at least for us, if you have users mapped via ldap and you supply a valid mapped username but a bad password, sonicwall wont fail authentication, it just hangs. The Dell SonicWALL SRA 7.5.0.4 release is supported on the following platforms: Dell SonicWALL SRA 1200 Dell SonicWALL SRA 1600 Dell SonicWALL SRA 4200 Dell SonicWALL SRA 4600 Dell SonicWALL SRA Virtual Appliance For user information regarding specific OS and Browser support, please refer to the SRA 7.5 User Guide. To make a very long story short, he was using a bad password. So I had a user constantly complaining that netextender was hanging and wouldn't let him in.
